01
THE AGREEMENT

ABOUT THESE TERMS.

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of The Joined, including thejoined.com and services made available through the platform.

The Joined is a trade mark and brand operated by Levlan International Marketing. References in these Terms to “The Joined”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean Levlan International Marketing when operating The Joined.

By creating an account, purchasing a membership or otherwise using a service that requires acceptance of these Terms, you agree to them.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not create an account or use member-only features.

These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and any additional rules displayed for a particular feature or service.
02
ELIGIBILITY

WHO CAN JOIN.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a personal or company account on The Joined.

By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

If you create or manage an account on behalf of a company, organisation, collective or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

We may refuse registration or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the platform, comply with law, enforce these Terms or protect other users.

03
YOUR LOGIN

YOUR ACCOUNT.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out using your account.

You must provide accurate registration information and should keep important account information reasonably up to date.

You must not:

01 impersonate another person or organisation;
02 create accounts using deliberately false or misleading identities;
03 sell, transfer or share access to your account without permission;
04 attempt to access another member's account without authorisation; or
05 use automated systems to create accounts in bulk.

Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

04
FREE & PAID ACCESS

MEMBERSHIPS & SUBSCRIPTIONS.

The Joined may provide free and paid membership levels with different features, allowances and benefits.

Current membership features and prices will be displayed before purchase. Features may differ between personal and company accounts.

PERSONAL FREE MEMBER

Access to the free features made available to individual members.

PERSONAL JOINED+

Additional paid member features where available.

COMPANY FREE COMPANY

Basic company presence and available free company features.

COMPANY COMPANY+

Enhanced company features provided through the relevant paid membership.

Beta or promotional membership levels may also be offered. Where a membership is described as lifetime, this means for the operational lifetime of the relevant The Joined service and account, not the lifetime of the member.

Complimentary, beta or promotional memberships do not create an entitlement to compensation if The Joined later changes or permanently closes a service.

05
THE COMMUNITY

COMMUNITY STANDARDS.

The Joined exists to help creative people meet, collaborate, share work and build opportunities. Members are expected to treat other people with reasonable respect.

You must not use The Joined to publish, send, promote or facilitate:

01 unlawful content or activity;
02 threats, targeted harassment or bullying;
03 discriminatory abuse or hateful conduct;
04 fraudulent opportunities, scams or deliberately misleading commercial activity;
05 spam or persistent unwanted solicitation;
06 malicious software, phishing or harmful links;
07 content that infringes another person's legal rights; or
08 attempts to deliberately disrupt the service or community.
CREATIVE DISAGREEMENT IS FINE.

People are allowed to disagree, criticise work, reject collaboration requests and have different opinions.

Community moderation is intended to address harmful behaviour, not eliminate ordinary disagreement.

06
COPYRIGHT & OWNERSHIP

YOUR CONTENT STAYS YOURS.

You retain ownership of intellectual property rights you hold in photographs, films, music, writing, artwork, designs, profile material, projects and other content you upload to The Joined.

Uploading content does not transfer ownership of that content to us.

YOU OWN YOUR WORK.

The Joined needs permission to technically store and display your material, but that does not make the work ours.

By submitting content to The Joined, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, resize, transcode, technically adapt and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, secure and promote the relevant The Joined feature.

For example, this allows us to create thumbnails, stream an uploaded film, display artwork on a profile or show a project in a platform feature.

This licence does not give us permission to sell your creative work as our own.

Where you delete content, the licence relating to its normal public display ends when the content is removed from the active service, subject to reasonable technical backup periods, legal obligations and material already legitimately shared or incorporated elsewhere.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions required to upload the material you submit.

07
OUR MATERIAL

THE JOINED'S CONTENT.

The Joined name, visual identity, website design, graphics, software, original editorial material and other content created by or for The Joined may be protected by intellectual property rights.

You may use the platform normally for its intended purpose but may not copy, reproduce, commercially exploit or create misleading derivative services from protected The Joined material without permission.

Member-created material belongs to its respective creator or rights holder and is not The Joined content merely because it appears on the platform.

08
WORKING TOGETHER

MESSAGES & COLLABORATIONS.

The Joined provides tools that may help members discover and communicate with one another.

Unless we expressly state otherwise, The Joined is not a party to agreements made between members.

If you agree to collaborate, employ, hire, cast, commission, pay or otherwise work with another member, you are responsible for agreeing the relevant terms directly with them.

This may include matters such as:

Fees Expenses Copyright Credits Usage rights Deadlines Insurance Working conditions
A profile, review, badge, membership level or presence on The Joined should not be treated as a guarantee that somebody is suitable for a particular job or collaboration.
09
ORGANISATIONS

COMPANY ACCOUNTS.

Companies, production businesses, venues, agencies, organisations and other entities may create company accounts where that feature is available.

The person creating or administering the account confirms that they have appropriate authority to represent the organisation.

Company profile information must not deliberately misrepresent the organisation's identity, services, credentials or relationship with other people or organisations.

Paid company features may require an active Company+ or other applicable subscription.

10
OFFLINE MEETUPS

EVENTS & MEETUPS.

The Joined may allow members or organisations to list, organise, discover or attend events and meetups.

Unless an event is expressly identified as being organised directly by The Joined, the person or organisation listing the event is responsible for organising it.

Event organisers are responsible for accurate information, venue arrangements, permissions, safety requirements, ticketing obligations and any other responsibilities applicable to their event.

Members remain responsible for making sensible decisions when meeting people they first encountered online.

11
REPUTATION

REVIEWS & FEEDBACK.

Where reviews or recommendations are available, they should reflect a genuine experience or legitimate professional interaction.

You must not knowingly submit fake reviews, organise coordinated review manipulation or offer incentives in exchange for deliberately misleading feedback.

Reviews represent the opinion of the person who submitted them and do not necessarily represent the views of The Joined.

We may remove reviews that breach these Terms or our moderation rules.

12
MONEY

PAYMENTS & RENEWALS.

Prices for paid services will be shown before you purchase them.

Where a membership renews automatically, the renewal frequency and applicable price will be shown as part of the purchase process.

Payments may be processed by an external payment provider. The Joined does not necessarily receive or store your complete payment-card details.

You are responsible for providing valid payment information and keeping it updated where a recurring payment service requires it.

Your statutory consumer rights are not excluded or reduced by these Terms.

Additional cancellation, renewal or refund information may be displayed during checkout where it applies to the membership or service being purchased.
13
OUTSIDE SERVICES

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES.

The Joined may integrate services operated by other organisations, including payment providers, hosting providers, media services, mapping tools, advertising platforms or external websites.

Those organisations may have their own terms, privacy policies and service rules.

A link or integration does not automatically mean that The Joined endorses every product, statement or activity of the external provider.

14
KEEPING THINGS CIVILISED

REPORTING & MODERATION.

We may investigate content, accounts or behaviour that appears to breach these Terms, community rules or applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

01 WARN

Contact a member about behaviour or content.

02 REMOVE

Remove or restrict access to particular material.

03 LIMIT

Restrict particular account functions.

04 SUSPEND

Temporarily prevent access to an account.

05 TERMINATE

Close an account where appropriate.

06 REPORT

Refer matters to an appropriate authority where required or justified.

We will try to exercise moderation proportionately, taking account of the nature, seriousness, context and history of the issue.

Moderation decisions inevitably require judgement. The existence of reporting tools does not mean that every disagreement or complaint will result in removal.

15
TECHNOLOGY HAPPENS

SERVICE AVAILABILITY.

We aim to keep The Joined available and working properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Services may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, software updates, technical faults, security incidents, third-party systems or events outside our reasonable control.

We may add, alter, replace or discontinue platform features as The Joined develops.

Where a material change significantly affects a paid service, we will take reasonable steps to provide appropriate information and honour applicable consumer rights.

16
RESPONSIBILITY

LIABILITY.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

The Joined provides a platform through which people can discover one another and communicate. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not employ, represent or act as agent for members simply because they use the platform.

We are not responsible for independently verifying every claim made in a member profile, company profile, project, event, review or message.

You are responsible for exercising reasonable judgement before entering into contracts, collaborations, financial arrangements or in-person meetings with other users.

To the extent permitted by law, we will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant agreement was formed.

These Terms do not affect legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

17
BREAKING UP

CLOSING YOUR ACCOUNT.

You may close your account using the available account controls or by contacting us where an account-closing function is not available.

Closing an account may remove access to content, messages, membership benefits and other associated platform features.

Some information may remain where reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, security, moderation or backup purposes, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate an account where there is a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, fraud, misuse, security risk, legal requirement or other substantial reason requiring action.

18
THINGS CHANGE

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS.

The Joined will evolve as new services, community tools and commercial features are introduced.

We may therefore update these Terms where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to the platform, law, security requirements or our operating model.

The current version will be published on this page together with its latest update date.

Where an important change materially affects existing members, we may also provide additional notice through the website, account interface or another appropriate communication method.

19
LEGAL STUFF

GOVERNING LAW.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal protections that apply to you because of where you live.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from relying on mandatory rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply so far as legally possible.

A failure by us to enforce a provision on one occasion does not automatically waive our right to enforce it later.

20
QUESTIONS?

LEGAL ENQUIRIES.

If you have a question about these Terms, memberships, intellectual property or another legal matter, use the secure form below.
